Refund Policy

At Bracket Coder, we stand behind the quality of our work. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued for our development services, retainer plans, and other offerings.

We believe in transparent, fair policies that protect both our clients and our team. Please read this policy carefully before engaging our services.

Refunds may be issued under the following circumstances:

• Before project kickoff: Full refund if the project has not started within 7 days of the initial payment
• Service not delivered: Full or partial refund if we fail to deliver agreed-upon services within the contracted timeline, subject to reasonable extensions
• Quality issues: If deliverables do not meet the specifications outlined in the project agreement after reasonable revision attempts
• Mutual agreement: Refund amount negotiated between both parties in cases of project scope disagreements

For project-based engagements, our refund policy follows the milestone payment structure:

50% Upfront Payment (Project Kickoff)

• Fully refundable if work has not commenced within 7 days
• Non-refundable once development begins, as this covers initial design, architecture, and setup costs

25% Mid-Project Payment

• Refundable only if the mid-project deliverables are not met as defined in the project agreement
• A review period of 5 business days is provided for milestone approval

25% Final Payment

• Due upon final delivery and acceptance
• Refundable only if the final deliverables do not match the agreed specifications after two rounds of revisions

For monthly recurring plans:

• Cancellation before billing cycle: No charge for the upcoming month
• Cancellation mid-cycle: No refund for the current month; service continues until the end of the billing period
• Unused hours: Retainer hours do not roll over to the next month and are non-refundable
• Annual plans: Pro-rated refund for remaining months if cancelled after the first 3 months

To request a refund:

1. Submit a request — Contact us via email with your project details and reason for the refund
2. Review period — We will review your request within 5 business days
3. Resolution — We will respond with an approval, partial refund offer, or explanation if the request does not qualify
4. Processing — Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days to the original payment method

The following are non-refundable:

• Third-party costs (domain registration, hosting, API subscriptions, stock assets) paid on your behalf
• Rush delivery surcharges once expedited work has begun
• Discovery and consultation fees (paid sessions)
• Completed and approved milestones
• Custom development work that has been delivered and meets agreed specifications

Either party may cancel a project engagement under the following conditions:

• Client cancellation: Written notice required. Payment due for all completed work and any non-refundable costs incurred
• Bracket Coder cancellation: Full refund of payments for undelivered work. We will provide all completed deliverables up to the cancellation date
• Force majeure: In cases of events beyond either party's control, both parties will negotiate in good faith regarding refunds or project continuation

If you are not satisfied with a refund decision, you may escalate the matter by contacting us directly. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly.

All disputes will first be handled through direct negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with our Terms of Service.

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
